Our Music
Our director is a lifelong student of black spiritual music. We believe that this music, forged in the fires of slavery, oppression, and unthinkable adversity, holds the power to change hearts and heal the world. For that reason, most of our music is directly from the tradition of the Black Spiritual.
We also sing Civil Rights-era protest songs, original music, and a handful of songs from the African continent.
Some of our favorite songs:
Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel?
Soon I Will be Done
Keep Your Hand on the Plow
Hold On Just a Little While Longer
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
Beulah Land
Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Round
Freedom is Coming
We Shall Overcome
NzaMuranza
Balm in Gilead
We are releasing an album in late 2018!
